European AI Strategy Diagnostic

OPTIONAL INTERPRETATION SUPPORT

From Diagnosis to Decisions

The European AI Strategy Diagnostic produces a valuable report. The Diagnostic Review is an optional shortcut to interpret it quickly and decide what matters most.

For many organizations, the diagnostic report is sufficient on its own. Others prefer not to have senior leadership spend time learning by trial and error.

The Diagnostic Review exists for those teams. It is a senior-led session that interprets the full diagnostic in context, surfaces patterns that are easy to miss, and compresses weeks of internal discussion into deliberate decisions.

A medical analogy helps here.
The PDF report is your MRI: it shows what’s going on.
The Diagnostic Review is the doctor’s consultation: where next actions are decided.

Why a Diagnosis Needs Interpretation

Once completed, The European AI Strategy Diagnostic provides clear insight into your current AI setup. What it does not do is decide what to act on, what to defer, or how to balance value, risk, and regulation in your specific context.

The Diagnostic Review provides that interpretation when needed—by weighing signals against each other, sequencing decisions, and translating analysis into a small number of deliberate, defensible actions.

Specifically, it helps you:

  • Align AI spend and tooling with your actual strategy — not momentum or pressure
  • Sequence AI investments so ownership, controls, and accountability are in place before scale
  • Select use cases that create durable value without introducing avoidable regulatory exposure

What Goes Wrong Without Interpretation

Most teams don’t misunderstand diagnostics — they act on them too literally.

Common patterns include:

  • Fixing the lowest score, even when a different imbalance is blocking progress
  • Adding governance or tooling before ownership, value logic, or scale justify it
  • Mistaking strong execution for good decisions, allowing drift as usage expands

The Diagnostic Review exists to pressure-test results in context — so actions are proportionate, sequenced, and defensible.
